Jennifer Garner, born April 17th, 1972 in Houston, Texas, was raised within Charleston West Virginia. Her father, William John Garner, worked as a chemical engineer at Union Carbide. Patricia Ann, her mother taught at a local college. Wanting to follow in her father's footsteps and earn an engineering degree in chemical technology. Then she moved into New York in order to fulfill her ambitions as an actor. Chefs were employed at an eatery in New York as well as appearing in Broadway productions. She appeared in as a guest on the tv show "Felicity." This was in this show that she first got to know Scott Foley, her first husband. Garner was a star with"the romantic comedy "13 Going on 30" where she played a teenager trapped in a 30 year-old's body. Garner picked Gary Winick to direct the film, and they were looking at other projects together until his death in 2011. Garner was made an ambassador for artists in 2011 by Save the Children U.S.A. Alongside encouraging the importance of early education, literacy and nutrition at the national level, Garner's role involves promoting the literacy of all Americans.
