Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
The children were sleeping in the crib while I was strapped to an infant to my back. Ha! Everything was starting to fall into place, however it was not quite done. The home would require lots of time and an enthusiasm of shopping. In order to stay within the budget, I started going with my boys to estate sales in search of diamonds. Every week, we would go through estate sales and garage sales on Saturdays and Thursdays, purchasing a mix of antique and brand new furniture. Then I would spend working on my projects out in the driveway. My first impression was like... that's when my desire to repair furniture started. Although our house was fully decorated, I was unable to put down. There was a spot at the local markets that I could sell my pieces. There were numerous pieces that I did not think of a solution and I outgrew my space. In my own home, I began hosting open houses, where over 1,000 people were able to come in and purchase any product they wanted on the first floor within a single weekend. That's how my company Growing Days was born. The business I was running was growing, but my family was also expanding. I was trying to find that perfect balance of having starting a new venture and be a mommy too. Growing Days just seemed to be the right fit. Nora was born in 2013 to be our fourth baby. The direction my company was heading was excellent, however I needed to rest for a while. I decided to quit building my old furniture for a few months and stay home with the children. That was exactly what I was looking for at the moment. However after a few months without a phone, it began to ring. A lot of people contacted me to ask for advice about home improvement or decorating. A majority of those calling me were from those who visited my home at one of the furniture open houses. I began to take on clients at a time going at my own pace however it wasn't for long to have numerous accounts and had a complete home renovation business. It would have probably laughed at me had you had said that it would be the foundation of the DIY Network tv series. When I look back, it makes me smile.
